Festival Of Fire

If you missed out on Canada Day's fireworks show from the barge near Ontario Place, you missed a good one. First, the moon was gorgeous. Probably more gorgeous than last night's. It was red-orange and looked beautiful against the Toronto skyline. Second, tonight's show featured Canadian artists' music. The show started off with Billy Talent's "Surrender," went through a bunch of Canadian artists including Nelly Furtado ... and several that I didn't know, and ended with Avril Lavigne's "Keep Holding On." I thought it was an appropriate end. Not to mention, the fireworks show finale was spectacular. It was all sparkly in the dark night sky. On top of that, the cruise tonight had a few older couples and they knew how to get their groove on. They were so adorable, dancing the night away. If you're in the vicinity of Ontario Place or anywhere along the Toronto harbour front, do take 30 minutes out of your night and stay for the Festival of Fire. I was privileged enough to work cruises that go out during those times and to have the free time to stand and watch with the guests. The Festival of Fire really is enjoyable, even if you see fireworks all the time like I have.
