Why Am I Being Attacked By All Things Sharp?

A few days ago, I was cutting lemons and limes. The knife slipped and knicked the back of my left index and middle fingers, right by the nails, and it was deep enough to make it bleed plenty. It stung, oh yes, quite a lot. It still hurts 'cause the wound keeps slightly opening enough to have little drops of blood come out.

And I just got a tiny papercut from the envelope of my cell phone bill. Whyyy?!
