Second Day Class-Related Stuff

... Just so you know, I don't have class on Saturdays. This all happened yesterday.

My MicroEcon professor is pretty funny. He's from India and he's worked all over the world.
"Every midterm, someone's grandmother falls sick. I would like to please advise you to take care of your grandparents."
"What's the population of Saint John? 60, 70 thousand? That's how many relatives I have in India!"
He brought up this interesting fact: One-third of smokers die of smoking-related deaths; two-thirds die of other causes.
People keep saying that every vote counts. My prof says that the only way his vote counts is if his vote is the deciding vote in a tie between the two candidates. Although he still votes, he knows that his vote doesn't make much of a difference.

There were quite a lot of people in my Latin class. Yes, Latin as in Classical Latin, as in the "dead" language. Before class started, this guy blurted out to his friend, "I want to learn Latin so I can talk to the pope." That was pretty darn funny.

I don't know how it happened, but I ended up being a sort-of English tutor to bunch of international students from China and Taiwan. Let me just say, that was a weird dinner.
