Accidentally Getting Drunk Isn't (Usually) Fun
Beer before liquor makes you sicker,
Liquor before beer you're in the clear.
See, that's supposed to help you. It didn't for me today. I shouldn't have had the last drink.
Today, we had wine tasting. I had only one hour of sleep and no food. Bad idea already? Oh yes. The wines that I tasted went straight to my head. Rachel then convinced me to stay and have lunch with her. I had a chicken caesar and a pint of Kokanee. Not good either. There was a mistake and the bartender poured an extra pint of Keith's so I split it with a co-worker. And to make things a little worse, I treated a co-worker to a shot of tequila so I went for a cocktail - a purple haze.
I hadn't realized how much the alcohol affected me until I walked to the streetcar. The subway ride was not pretty either. As soon as I got off the subway at Bloor station, I couldn't hold in whatever I had and started to up-chuck. Luckily, I made it to a garbage can before I let it out. A nice lady behind me gave me a tissue.
The subway ride east on the Bloor-Danforth line, I vomitted during the ride. Two nice ladies offered me a plastic bag and a package of tissues. I'm just really happy there were really nice people that looked out for me. As soon as I got to Kennedy station, I went to the washroom. I mainly sat in the stall and dozed off. I was exhausted from the travelling and puking. Of course my hour-long nap was constantly interrupted when I kept slipping from my position. I woke up one final time to puke and I decided it was time I went home. I felt better than I had before. I slowly made my way on to the RT and before the bus ride home, an old high school friend bumped into me. (I say that because I didn't know she was there at all.) We caught up for the ride home. She took another bus while I walked home. And here I am. I'm not drunk right now (SUKHI!), but I'm getting off a buzz. I'll be alright. I didn't expect to drink so much, but at least I won't have a hangover tomorrow. At least, I hope not.
