Los Angeles Day 3
We took a pretty chill day today. I think it's our theme. We went to Melrose Avenue to do a little shopping, went to Wendy's to get food, chilled at the hotel room for a bit to eat and rest, and then went to the show.
The Academy Is. Very scene crowd. We went late and caught Armor for Sleep opening. They liked to shake their heads a lot. They also liked their power chords. The Academy Is light show was pretty good. The important thing was I didn't want to kill myself. But that's thanks to alcohol. I had a double Grey Goose and diet coke, and then a single Grey Goose in a shirley temple. It kept me buzzed until we got back to the hotel, which wasn't very far from the venue. It wasn't bad. I mostly analyzed the guitar playing and was partly seizuring from the light show.
It had been a long time since I was at a concert. The deaf feeling came rushing back after the first song we were there for. I guess I'll be that way for two days at the Street Scene Festival in San Diego.
Tomorrow we head down the coast to San Diego. We'll be stopping by Newport and Laguna Beach. Hopefully it won't rain or snow. (It's calling for drizzles of snow. How weird. In California!) We're taking the Pacific Coast Highway again. I hope it's going to be pretty.
Anyway, I must head to bed. The drink makes me tired. Plus I had a baked potato, a slice of pizza, and some salad. We'll be taking our time for the drive since it won't be as long of a drive. It'll be fun.
