San Diego Day 3
We dropped off the car by the airport. The car return terminal is huge. I've never done that before. Then again, I've never rented a car before. It was sad. We walked out there blind and with little directions on the public transit.
The San Diego Zoo! It is pretty freakin' big, considering it's the biggest zoo in the world. We got there in one piece. I thought we'd spend 4 hours there, max. We ended up spending about 6 hours there. There are tons of animals. I took tons of pictures, which I'll be uploading when I get home. We had tons of pop. It was great. Definitely recommend if you're coming out here.
We didn't know our way back to the hotel but took a stab at it anyway. We thought the bus driver said to take the "20" but he meant the trolley. We didn't know which stop and he told us at some stop to get off. Then we blindly followed the group of people and ended up at the trolley station. We didn't know how to get on either. It's so weird! You had to push a button to get on, and to get off. It's such a convenient system, but very different from what Toronto has.
The rest of the night consisted of delivery Italian food, tv watching, and lazing around. The zoo got us pretty beat today. It was fun.
Tomorrow, I think we're going to take a tour of San Diego and area, plus do Balboa Park. We'll end the day early so we can get back to the hotel to finish up packing. It should be a good last day in California.
