Hong Kong in 10 Days

Yep. It's going to happen. I'm going to Hong Kong with my mom on October 14th. We'll be there for two months, or more. I can't wait to travel around Asia. It's a once in a lifetime thing for me.

When we bought our tickets, my mom's debit card had a limit and couldn't pay the full amount. She paid for half and I was going to pay for half with my card. Apparently, my card has a smaller limit and couldn't be paid. The next day my mom paid the rest of the amount. When I checked my online bank statement, it said that it had gone through. It was weird. I went back to the agent and she rang up the transaction machine company. They said it went through. So she had to give me a refund. There was a $1000 limit to the refund and I had to return a second day to get the rest of the amount back. What a weird situation.

I bought a travel plug adapter from Best Buy. It was advertised as $34.99 on their website. When I got there, the sticker said $26.99. They had to sell it to me for that price and the cashier told someone to change the price. I saved about $10 from that. Score for me.

I finally finished uploading the pictures. I kind of put it off for a bit, but alas, it is done. You may now bask in the glory of the full collection of the California pictures. Here's a list of the new stuff.

  • 0921 LA to San Diego - I think these are in somewhat of a random order. It's a pretty drive, but not as pretty as the Big Sur area.
  • 0922 San Diego Day 1 - I think I've said this before, but there's no pictures for this day. We assumed there were no cameras allowed for Street Scene, however we noticed the hundreds of flashing cameras during Muse.
  • 0923 San Diego Day 2 - There were a lot of pictures this day. Only a select few were uploaded. They were the only ones not super blurry. I wanted to upload the videos of Arctic Monkeys and The Killers but the files were too big. They were really good videos.
  • 0924 San Diego Day 3 (album1, album2, album3) - We went to the San Diego Zoo this day. Have fun with all the animals. There's also videos of leopard tortoises and a panda.
  • 0925 San Diego Day 4 - We took a tour of San Diego this day.
  • Also, I've added videos for San Francisco Day 4 and Day 5, including barking sea lions at Pier 39, Angie and I walking the Golden Gate Bridge, and watching the trolleys turn on their track.

I kept pretty busy the first week I got back, doing a bunch of errands. Now, I'm mostly filling my time with movies and anticipating shows to finish so I could download and watch it without the commercials. How nerdy of me.

Anyhoo, that's it from me for now. By the way, the second season of The IT Crowd is super hilarious and brilliant. Watch the original series before the NBC version comes out, please. I can only imagine the horror they've turned it into. The NBC version of the show is only saved by Richard Ayoade who reprises his role as the lovely Maurice Moss. Oh Moss, how I love thee.
