Greetings From The Un-Dead
Soooo ... I hadn't blogged in 3 months. I'm not sorry. Life gets dull when you work fulltime at a retail pharmacy store. Here are my highlights of the last 3 months:
- My dad miraculously appeared one day from his trip to China. I got home from work and found a lump under the covers on my dad's bed. It turned out to be him sleeping. I gave my mom a weird look. That was a strange discovery.
- I got in to University of New Brunswick and I will be going there in a couple of months. At first, my mom and I discussed driving there, since I'll be bringing almost everything along to residence. But $2,000 for renting a car really turned me off of that idea. Now, the plan is to fly there and get my brother to mail my stuff to me once I find out my residence address.
- The owner of my store sold it to open a new, 24-hour store. For about 3 weeks, my co-worker and I went over to merchandise and get extra hours. And for 3 weeks, I suffered 16-hour days for 2 days a week. It was pretty bad, but I got through it. Most of the staff at the new store are new and they suffered quite a bit when they opened.
- I accidentally parked too close to a car one day and when I let go of the brake, the car lurched forward a little. I didn't know until I came out that it hit the bumper in front. The guy was waiting for me. He wanted me to pay him $100 and he wouldn't go to the insurance company. I had never gotten into an accident before so I was shaking. I told him no and that I wanted to see a quote from a mechanic, not know that I could have screwed myself over. Mostly I thought that he wouldn't fix it anyway 'cause his van was old and rusty. It's been about a week and a half from the incident and no call from him. I'm hoping it'll stay this way.
- I went to a friend's birthday dinner at Frankie Tomatto's. I wore a dress I bought from California, thinking it's fine and that I wore it like that in California. Totally not. The guys kept looking at my chest 'cause it was that low. Silly boys.
- I miss Cali so much. Angie and I had good times there.
- I looked at my old blog posts tonight. I realized I sounded angry most of the time. I'm pretty sure my blogging tone changed. I don't swear as much in my posts anymore. Though, I did used to make an effort to at least try to be funny.
- Even though I work regular hours, I can't get used to sleeping early. Or at a decent time.
- I like my 30% discount. I buy a lot of cosmetics and skincare stuff now. I'm also in love with flavoured water. It's the only way I drink water ... willingly.
- Geek alert: I like doing Fill-Ins.
- Find me an English boy to marry so I can live in England, please and thank you.
I think that about sums it up. Toodle-ooh!
